Waterside Theatre 

The plan view follows a peanut-form, the pedestal line waves up and down and the roof layer is slightly inclined. The geometry causes a façade construction with over 100 glulam-fins, each a single piece. The post-beam-façade is inverse, the big columns at the exterior and the glazing inside. The low allowable dimensional deviation and the interface with interior joinery caused high accuracy and robot controlled fabrication. For the foyer we´ve delivered roof and ceiling elements with acoustic panels. In total the Waterside Theatre is made of about 14.000 wooden single pieces.
